Greenwich and Westerly hospitals make the grade with Leapfrog
Greenwich and Westerly hospitals each earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group for the Fall 2025 report. Greenwich Hospital also earned “A” grades in the spring and fall of 2023, as well as fall 2022. Westerly Hospital also received an “A” grade in Leapfrog’s Spring 2025 report, as well as fall 2022. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections. Leapfrog is an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety.
