Deadline for carryover balances: 2025 Healthcare and Limited Purpose FSAs
Use it or lose it. That’s the important reminder for employees with a 2025 Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or a Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account.
You can carry over only up to $660 from either FSA for use throughout 2026. This means any amount remaining in your account over $660 as of Dec. 31, 2025, will be forfeited.
What can you do if you have a balance over $660?
- Submit claims now for any 2025 eligible expenses already incurred.
- Consider purchasing FSA-eligible products by Dec. 31, 2025. Visit https://fsastore.com to view eligible items.
You have until March 31, 2026, to submit all FSA claims for reimbursement of eligible expenses incurred in 2025.
