Of the more than 70 abstracts submitted, three earned top recognition. The Summit Award, for the highest-scoring abstract, went to “Saying ‘so long’ to shunt SSI.” Team members: Sandy Maione, RN; Thomas Murray, MD, PhD; Kathy Krechevsky; and Jeannine Rockefeller, APRN.

The Cycle of Excellence Award went to “Social Drivers of Health screening in pediatric populations” from Bridget Meedzan; Christine Cabugao; Andrew O’Connell; Stacy Brassil; Mary-Jo Smith; James Hasselschwert; Jeremy Peterson; and Deanna Morabito.

The Keystone Award was presented to “Transitions of care Pharmacy Services at BH/MC,” submitted by Christopher Flores, PharmD; AnneMarie Blake, PharmD; Rabya Mirza, PharmD; Joanne Ruggiero, PharmD; and Jamie Musharbash.

Recognizing that continuous performance improvement is a necessity in today’s healthcare environment, the poster session highlighted the successes achieved by teams throughout YNHHS. Over the past two years, Quality and Safety partnered with the Office of Strategy Management (OSM) to conduct 15 workshops on performance improvement, training upwards of 1,000 employees. Training will continue in 2026. Check the Learning Management System (LMS) via Infor for upcoming dates.
