Greenwich Hospital recently held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of its new Occupational Medicine office at 49 Lake Ave., Suite 201, in Greenwich.
The event brought together Yale New Haven Health and Greenwich Hospital leaders, along with representatives from local organizations, to mark a significant step forward in expanding access to high-quality occupational health services in the community.
“We’re excited about what we can accomplish in this new space,” said Raj Ahsan, MD, senior medical director, Occupational Medicine, YNHHS. “Occupational Medicine plays a vital role in keeping our workforce healthy and safe, and this expansion allows us to better serve both our employees and the greater Greenwich community.”
Occupational Medicine at YNHHS provides comprehensive medical services designed to promote the health, safety and well-being of employees in the workplace. The Greenwich Occupational Medicine team also provides services for regional employers such as the Greenwich Fire Department, Town of Greenwich and other area organizations. In addition, the team offers preventive care, injury management and employee health screenings and administers annual flu vaccinations for hospital staff.
“They are the go-to experts for all of our needs related to medical occupational health services for the town employees,” said Erica Mahoney, assistant director of Human Resources for the Town of Greenwich, on the Occupational Medicine team. “We have a great relationship, and we’re really excited about the relocation to the central Greenwich area.”
The new office will allow the Occupational Medicine team to continue growing its services and strengthening partnerships with local employers.
