Mike Domack, boiler plant operator, won the Great Catch Award for November for his exceptional attention to detail and strong commitment to patient safety. While working the evening shift, Domack noticed that a unit of packed red blood cells had been delivered to a department that was closed for the shift. Rather than assuming someone else would address the issue, Domack verified the intended destination of the blood product and personally delivered it to the correct unit, guaranteeing that the blood reached the patient who needed it.
