Pediatric sleep center opens at hospital

Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH) at Bridgeport Hospital opened a pediatric sleep center Dec. 3, conducting its first sleep study. It is YNHCH’s second pediatric sleep center; the first is located at 1 Park Street, New Haven.

The two are the only sleep centers in Connecticut with board-certified physicians exclusively caring for children from infancy through teenage years. The sleep center provides diagnosis, sleep testing and comprehensive treatment to infants, toddlers, adolescents and teens with sleep problems resulting from medical conditions, behavioral disorders or developmental problems. Physicians are board-certified in pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology and pediatric sleep medicine.
