Zane Saul, MD, chief of infectious diseases, along with one of his patients, was featured on the Nov. 20 national telecast of Animal Planet’s Monsters Inside Me.
After returning from military duty, the patient was diagnosed with babesiosis, a tick-borne parasitic disease that produces a high fever, continuous sweating and skin rash. The segment, “Babesi-WHAT?
