Gifts honor ED for great care

The Bridgeport Hospital Foundation received seven gifts totaling $1,300 in honor of Emergency Department staff. Four of the gifts recognize outstanding care provided by individuals – Charles Mize, MD; Marge Smeraglinolo, ED technician; Edward Sprague, MD; and Judy Wiehl, RN. The other three recognize the department.

The foundation launched the Honor Your Caregiver program in 2012 to provide a new option for grateful patients and families to recognize physicians, nurses and other hospital staff.
