YNHHS to partner with PhysicianOne Urgent Care

Yale New Haven Health System and PhysicianOne Urgent Care have created a partnership in which PhysicianOne Urgent Care centers in Connecticut will become YNHHS affiliates, offering accessible, high-quality care to people with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

A regional urgent-care organization founded in 2008 by three physicians in Connecticut, PhysicianOne Urgent Care has 12 walk-in locations in Connecticut, three in Massachusetts and two in in Westchester County, NY. Experienced providers, as well as X-ray and lab services, are available on site.

PhysicianOne Urgent Care of Connecticut was the first in the market to be accredited and certified by the Urgent Care Association of America. Locations are: Brookfield, Derby, Hamden, Newtown, Norwalk, Orange, Ridgefield, Southbury, Waterbury, Glastonbury, Groton and Norwich. The Westchester County locations are in Mohegan Lake and Somers. All locations are open 365 days a year, 8 am - 8 pm weekdays and 9 am - 5 pm weekends and holidays.

This partnership complements YNHHS' strategy to offer a full range of services throughout the state, providing patients broader access to critical healthcare services in the community. The centers can help mitigate some wait times at the health system's current walk-in centers and emergency departments. They will support YNHHS primary care offices in providing after-hours care, particularly on weekends and holidays, and introduce potential new patients to the health system.
