Nurse, nursing units earn Henderson awards

Congratulations to the multidisciplinary team on General Surgery/Bariatrics (Verdi 3 South), and Melissa Perez, RN, OR, Temple Surgical Center, who recently received Virginia Henderson Awards for Partnership in Patient Care, Advocacy for Nursing, Innovation in Nursing Practice/Patient Care and Knowledge Sharing. The awards are given twice a year to individual nurses or multidisciplinary teams that exemplify the work of a woman considered the foremost American nurse of the 20th century.
