Nurse, nursing units earn Henderson awards

Congratulations to staff and physicians at Yale New Haven Hospital's Rehabilitation and Wellness Center at Milford Hospital (top), and to Janice Oestreicher, RN, Hematology Oncology Infusion Therapy unit, Smilow Cancer Hospital, (below) who recently received Virginia Henderson Awards for Partnership in Patient Care, Advocacy for Nursing, Innovation in Nursing Practice/Patient Care and Knowledge Sharing. The awards are given twice a year to an individual nurse or interdisciplinary team that exemplifies the work of a woman considered the foremost American nurse of the 20th century.
