Free hernia screenings June 29

YNHH will hold free hernia screenings Saturday, June 29, at 8 Devine St., North Haven, 9 am – noon. Physicians will evaluate anyone 18 and older; follow-up care can be scheduled if needed. Visit ynhh.org/events to register.

YNHH named an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer

Yale New Haven Hospital, along with Bridgeport, Greenwich, Lawrence + Memorial and Westerly hospitals, has been designated as an “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer” in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 16th edition of the Health Equality Index (HEI). The HEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey of healthcare facilities on policies and practices dedicated to the equitable treatment and inclusion of their LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and employees. A record 1,065 healthcare facilities participated in the 2024 HEI survey; 462 earned an “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer” designation.
