YNHHS prepares for mandatory flu vaccination

YNHHS is rolling out its annual mandatory flu vaccination program to protect patients and employees. In the past two years, nearly 99 percent of employees were vaccinated.
Employees, physicians and volunteers must receive a flu vaccination or have an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of continued employment. Information about applying for exemptions is available on Infor. Employees must request the appropriate exemption by Sept. 30. Exemption requests will be approved or denied by Oct. 31.

Employees may be vaccinated at hospital-based flu clinics beginning in mid-October, or get vaccinated at their primary care physician’s office or a participating CVS Caremark vaccination network pharmacy. Information about all vaccination options, including how to submit documentation of vaccination by a PCP or participating pharmacy, will be on Infor in the coming weeks. The vaccination deadline is Dec. 1.

Flu vaccination clinic schedules will be announced in early October. Watch for more information in employee newsletters and on the intranet.
