Experience: The best teacher

Through YNHH's School to Career program, 16 New Haven high school students considering healthcare careers recently spent five weeks in clinical and non-clinical departments at the hospital and health system. The students worked with employees in a variety of areas, including Nursing, the Institute for Excellence, Day Care and Finance. At a May recognition program, Yale New Haven employees from different departments spoke to students about how they got into their fields and the challenges and rewards of their healthcare careers.
