No, your eyes weren’t deceiving you 

You really did see groups of children trooping through Yale New Haven Hospital wearing chef hats on April 26. That’s when a youth movement swept the hospital, as more than 100 children participated in the popular Take Your Child to Work Day events. Children and parents on both campuses spent the day visiting a variety of departments and learning about the many departments and people that make a hospital work. Highlights of the day included touring the kitchens, performing candy surgery, checking out the inside of an ambulance and visiting the helipad to watch SkyHealth land.
