Laboratory presents awards

Laboratory Medicine recently presented its annual awards to dedicated staff members. From left are: Dustin Miconi, coordinator of ambulatory operations, and Claire Paisey, hematology shift coordinator, who received the Rookie of the Year awards; Laura Pires, medical technologist, Hematology Lab, and Leeanne Khamtha, laboratory processing coordinator, Specimen Processing, who earned the ROSE (Recognition of Outstanding Service and Esprit de corps) awards; Rita Napierkowski, laboratory regulatory/compliance specialist; Kathy Bruenn, laboratory manager, Saint Raphael Campus Core Lab, who accepted the Laboratory Great Catch Award on behalf of Kinjal Raval, medical technologist; and David Strongin, Laboratory Services director. The awards are presented annually during National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week.
