Care Signature Boards keep safety and quality front and center

Trauma Surgery unit (SP 6-4) recently became the first to model the use of a Care Signature Board at a Tier 1 Huddle
The team with Yale New Haven Hospital’s Trauma Surgery unit (SP 6-4) recently became the first to model the use of a Care Signature Board at a Tier 1 Huddle. During the huddles, held at 7 am and 7 pm, staff gather to review and update a new whiteboard that provides a quick, easy-to-read overview of key topics specific to the unit. These include census, planned discharges for that day, patients at risk of falls and other safety concerns, quality and patient experience metrics, and announcements. Watch for more information about the Care Signature Board Tier 1 Huddles, which will roll out to units throughout Yale New Haven Health.
