Walk ‘n Talk summer series planned

Bridgeport Hospital, in partnership with the Bridgeport Department of Health and Social Services, is planning a summer “Walk ‘n Talk” series focused on postpartum health on Saturdays from 9 to 10:30 am at Seaside Park, 1 Barnum Dyke, Bridgeport. All events are great for any fitness level and ability and are open to anyone interested in attending. Come walk on the following dates with mental health providers to discuss topics such as stress, anxiety, nutrition, heart health and more:

  • Saturday, July 8 
  • Saturday, Aug. 12 
  • Saturday, Sept. 9

Community food distribution summer schedule announced

In partnership with Connecticut Foodshare, Bridgeport Hospital hosts a biweekly mobile food distribution every other Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:15 pm at 200 Mill Hill Ave. This summer, food distribution will take place on Wednesday, July 12, July 26, Aug. 9, Aug. 23, Sept. 6 and Sept. 20. Remember to bring your own reusable bags. Each person will receive one allotment of free and nutritious food while supplies last. For more information, visit or call 203-200-3719.
