Major changes to Chemistry Lab testing coming Jan. 27
On Jan. 27, Chemistry Labs throughout the health system will implement major changes to align testing. The chemistry labs at Greenwich, Lawrence + Memorial and Westerly hospitals; Bridgeport Hospital’s Milford Campus and the Pequot Health Center will begin using Roche Diagnostics instruments and tests. Other YNHHS delivery networks and sites already using Roche will see changes to critical values and reference ranges. Visit the employee intranet for details on the changes.

THRIVE Health Coaching and Employee and Family Resources (EFR) are hosting info tables throughout Yale New Haven Health in January. Stop by to learn about THRIVE Health Coaching, meet the coaches and sign up for sessions. Also, talk with EFR team members about wellness and mindfulness programs and services.
Plus, the Employee Wellbeing Book and Tea Swap is back! Bring a gently used book and swap it for another book, and/or swap one (or a few!) of your favorite individually wrapped tea bags (unopened, no loose leaves) and take a new tea bag home.

Auxiliary scholarships available
Applications are available for the Yale New Haven Hospital Auxiliary’s $3,000 scholarships for area students planning to pursue health-related careers. Scholarships are based on academic excellence, financial need, personal statement and community service, including school and community activities and/or employment. Applicants must live in one of these towns: Bethany, Branford, Cheshire, East Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, Milford, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Orange, Wallingford, West Haven or Woodbridge.
