Yale New Haven Hospital

Employee group’s donation to bring smiles to young patients

Billye Bradley and Nicholas Cairo-Devlin
Billye Bradley, YNHH Auxiliary administrative assistant (left), and Nicholas Cairo-Devlin, BELONG Affinity Group co-chair, recently gathered toys the BELONG group donated to the Auxiliary Toy Closet.

Members of Yale New Haven Hospital’s BELONG LGQBTQIA+ & Allies Affinity Group recently held a collection for the YNHH Auxiliary’s Toy Closet Program, which provides each pediatric patient with a toy or small gift upon discharge from Yale New Haven Children's Hospital.

Last year the Toy Closet Program supplied more than 400,000 toys to locations in the hospitals, Emergency Departments and Pediatric Specialty Centers from Old Saybrook to Greenwich, and inventory is running low.

Toy donations may be dropped off at the hospital; call 203-688-5717 to schedule a time. Toys may also be ordered from a suggested wish list and will be shipped directly to the Toy Closet. Monetary donations are also welcome. Visit the Auxiliary for more information.

For more information about forming or joining an employee Affinity Group contact the Office of Inclusion and Belonging, [email protected].
