Bridgeport Hospital’s Team Smilow ONCtourage raised over $30,000 through the Closer to Free bike ride in memory of Marcia Anthony, RN, (below) a fellow employee who lost her battle with cancer.
For this year’s Closer to Free ride, Bridgeport Hospital’s Team Smilow ONCtourage raised $32,456 in memory of Marcia Anthony, RN, a pediatric nurse who recently lost her battle with cancer. The donation will go to the Integrative Medicine and Support program at Park Avenue Medical Center (PAMC), where Anthony received treatment. Anthony’s daughter, Katelen Telesha, RN, a nurse in Bridgeport Hospital’s Observation Unit, joined Team Smilow ONCtourage to present the check. The team looks forward to raising even more money in 2026.
