Yale New Haven Health welcomes its first babies of 2026

Congratulations to the parents of Yale New Haven Health’s New Year’s babies:
Catia Lucia dos Santos and Daniel dos Santos Silva
At Bridgeport Hospital, Catia Lucia dos Santos and Daniel dos Santos Silva of Bridgeport welcomed their baby boy, Davi dos Santos Silva, at 1:45 am on Jan. 1, 2026. He weighed 6 pounds, 6.4 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. His parents said Davi is, “the best gift to start the new year!”
At Greenwich Hospital, Salma Tahir and Mazhar Khan of Shelton proudly welcomed their baby girl, Sakina, at 5:11 am. Sakina weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 20 inches long. She arrived just days after her parents’ 10th wedding anniversary. Tahir works for YNHHS in Professional Services Coding.

At Yale New Haven Hospital, Alyssa Kurowski welcomed her son, Elias Raylon, at 2:45 am. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 2.9 ounces and measured 21 inches. Big sister, Lily, was very excited to spend time with her brother!
