Yale New Haven Hospital offers women's heart health seminar for registered nurses

2/15/2011 — Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) is hosting a half-day seminar for registered nurses, entitled "Matters of the Heart: The Latest Evidence About Women's Heart Health," on Thursday, April 7 from 12:30 - 5 p.m. It will be held in the second level auditorium of 55 Park Street in New Haven

This seminar provides an opportunity for nurses to learn about the latest advances in women's heart health. Topics and speakers include, "Is This a Heart Attack?" presented by Basmah Safdar, MD, medical director of the Women's Heart Program at Yale New Haven; "Risk Factor Modifications & Management Strategies," presented by Lisa Freed, MD, from Cardiology Associates of New Haven, PC; and "Getting Women to Care," presented by Janet Parkosewich, RN, DNSc, nurse researcher at YNHH.
