Northeast Medical Group welcomes physicians and staff of PriMed

Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) is proud to welcome the 120 physicians and providers of PriMed to our growing group. PriMed, a large primary and specialty physician practice based primarily in Fairfield County, has nearly 500 employees at 31 locations, which became NEMG practice locations on June 1.

"In an era of major change in the healthcare industry, our partnership with PriMed will help us advance high quality care and preserve access, and do so in the most cost efficient manner possible," said Robert Nordgren, MD, CEO NEMG. "The influx of so many primary care doctors, among other specialties, will greatly enhance our ability to serve patients around the state of Connecticut in a coordinated manner."

Healthcare delivery is rapidly evolving from isolated physician offices, hospitals and walk-in centers into seamless and efficient integrated systems that provide high quality, cost-effective care. PriMed's integration with NEMG retains the strengths of the PriMed practices, most notably the physicians and staff, and maintains existing relationships with local partners — such as its referring physicians.

"PriMed is excited about this partnership and the opportunities this provides to our patients," said Amit Rastogi, MD, President/CEO PriMed. "Our organizations share the same vision regarding patient care."

PriMed's office locations, staff, phone, fax and most insurance participation will remain the same. PriMed physicians will continue to provide patients with the same great care and service. To review a list of physicians and office locations, please visit www.northeastmedicalgroup.org.
