Home healthcare is deeply personal and unique. It can be difficult to comprehend the value of what we do at Yale New Haven Health - Health at Home until one has had first-hand experience. We ask members of the community to think of their own health and the health of their loved ones and friends, and to consider how support of our agency and its mission will have lasting ripple effects on wellness.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we need the support of people like you to continue our mission to be beside our patients, their families and our community at every turn. The majority of our funding has historically come from insurance reimbursements for our services, but there have always been shortfalls, and now cuts to Medicare and Medicaid in recent years have created significant challenges for our agency and others like us. As a result, we have undertaken an aggressive financial improvement plan and made difficult decisions to reduce expenses.
