    Team marks five years of ICU-level care on the go

    five-year anniversary since the Adult Critical Care Team
    Yale New Haven Health is marking the five-year anniversary since the Adult Critical Care Team (ACCT) was formed. This team consists of critical-care nurses and critical-care paramedics trained to provide ICU-level care for patients with acute medical conditions while en route to a YNHHS destination hospital. The team cares for patients transported by either ground ambulance or SkyHealth emergency patient transport helicopter. The ACCT is deployed by Y Access Transfer Center, a 24/7 patient transfer service that healthcare providers use to ensure quick and easy admission to a Yale New Haven Health hospital.
