Biography - Victoria Esparo, MS, APRN, FNP (BC)

Victoria Esparo, APRN, MS, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who holds a Master of Science degree with a concentration in Nursing from the University of Connecticut. She began her career as a Registered Nurse in general medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2012 before joining Yale’s Rheumatology Section in 2017. Esparo helps patients better understand their inflammatory conditions and treatments; in particular, she has a special interest in gout management.

Esparo runs the Crystalline Arthritis Clinic, which specializes in the management of gout and pseudogout. She works collaboratively with rheumatology attending physicians to manage a wide range of autoimmune/inflammatory conditions.

The favorite part of her job is seeing patients respond to treatment and seeing improvement in their physical function and quality of life. She also enjoys the relationships that she develops with patients while following them for their conditions over time.
