Sanford Edwards, MD, a board-certified general surgeon, is committed to providing the best care for Westerly, Rhode Island and the surrounding communities. Dr. Edwards treats a wide variety of general surgery pathologies and utilizes the latest technologies, including robotic surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and completed his general surgery residency at Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, New York, where he also served as a chief resident. His philosophy is simple, “treat every patient as if he or she was his own family member.” In his spare time, Dr. Edwards enjoys playing tennis, traveling and going to concerts. He is board certified from the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
