Biography - Rosa Velasquez, MD

Rosa Velasquez, MD, a board-certified internal medicine doctor, has a passion for providing comprehensive, patient-centered primary care and building long-term relationships with her patients. Dr. Velasquez particularly enjoys preventive medicine and helping patients understand their health so they can be active participants in their care. Her specific areas of interest are preventive care, chronic disease management and women’s health.

Dr. Velasquez earned her medical degree from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, and completed her residency at Greenwich Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
