U.S. News ranks YNHH # 1, Bridgeport Hospital #5 in Connecticut

Yale New Haven Hospital continues to rank among the top hospitals in the country according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Hospitals” listing. Of the nearly 5,000 hospitals surveyed, YNHH ranks nationally in 11 specialties and the number one hospital in Connecticut. Bridgeport Hospital was ranked number five in the state.

 “These rankings demonstrate our steadfast commitment and ability to deliver the latest medical treatments and highest quality of care with our partners at Yale School of Medicine to patients and families in the state, region and beyond,” said Christopher O’Connor, CEO, Yale New Haven Health.

In addition to ranking sixth nationally in Psychiatry, YNHH ranked well in Geriatrics (#24), Pulmonology and Lung Surgery (#29), Diabetes and Endocrinology (#31), Neurology and Neurosurgery (#38), Obstetrics and Gynecology (#39), Heart and Heart Surgery (#40), Urology (#40), Orthopedics (#41), Ear Nose and Throat (#42) and Cancer (#43).
