The 12th annual Pink Pledge kicked off Sept. 25 and will continue throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. In addition to raising awareness about the importance of screening, the community-wide event raises money for the Norma Pfriem Breast Center. These funds help cover early detection programs, integrative medicine, support services and cancer treatment programs.
