Schedule your onsite vaccination now

Yale New Haven Health has launched its annual flu vaccination program to help protect employees and keep patients and families safe.

YNHHS will provide vaccinations to employees throughout the health system beginning in early October, when seasonal flu activity generally begins. All employees and physicians, whether working onsite, hybrid or remotely, are required to comply with the YNHHS mandatory flu vaccine policy as a condition of employment across all YNHHS organizations. The deadline to comply with the flu vaccination program is Dec. 1, 2026.

Employees at Lawrence + Memorial and Westerly hospitals and staff at Health at Home - Southeast must either receive a flu vaccination or complete a declination form.

If eligible, employees may apply for a medical or religious exemption. Employees with a previously approved medical exemption do not need to reapply; those with a previously approved religious exemption must perform an annual religious attestation. Employees who are fully remote with no onsite responsibilities may request an annual conditional deferment for flu vaccination.

Onsite flu vaccinations will be provided by appointment only throughout the health system beginning the week of Oct. 5. To schedule an appointment:

  • Log in to Infor
  • Select YNHHS Employee in the upper left
  • Under Employee Information, select Employee Health
  • Choose Get Your Flu Vaccine to schedule an appointment

Volunteers, students, travelers, vendors and non-employed licensed independent practitioners may schedule an appointment through ynhhs.org/GetVaccinated.

Alternatively, employees may choose to get vaccinated by their primary care physician, at a YNHHS outpatient pharmacy or at a participating retail pharmacy in either the CVS Caremark vaccination network or a CVS Minute Clinic.

For details about these options, including how to submit documentation of vaccination by a primary care provider or participating pharmacy, along with declination and conditional deferment forms:

  • Log in to Infor
  • Select YNHHS Employee in the upper left
  • Under Employee Information, select Employee Health
  • Select Flu Validation/Exemption

Proof of vaccine (if received outside of the YNHHS onsite flu vaccination fairs), exemption requests, conditional deferments, and declination requests must be submitted no later than Dec. 1, 2026.

Additionally, all employees must complete the online flu module on the Infor Learning Management System (LMS) by Sept. 30. This includes employees who have declined the vaccination and those who work remotely.

Walk-in fit testing available at select vaccination fairs

Respiratory fit testing is being offered on a walk-in basis, no appointment needed, at select onsite flu vaccination fairs throughout YNHHS. See the employee intranet for a list of vaccination fairs where walk-in fit testing will be available.

Annual fit testing is required for all healthcare workers who are patient-facing and for anyone identified as required by their job position code. Please note that fit testing can take up to 15 minutes per employee.

Any employee with facial hair may be denied fit testing. No facial hair should be on the employee’s face to ensure a correct seal and the face must remain clean shaven per respirator protection policy.
