Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH) has again been ranked as the #1 children’s hospital in Connecticut and #2 in New England – and the only Connecticut hospital to be ranked.

YNHCH is also ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation for five out of 11 pediatric subspecialties in the 2025-2026 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings, published online recently by U.S. News & World Report. YNHCH was also nationally recognized in Urology (#33), Diabetes and Endocrinology (#40), Neonatology (#45), Gastroenterology and GI Surgery (#48) and listed among the top 50 in Pediatric and Adolescent Behavioral Health.

“The U.S. News & World Report rankings serve as a meaningful reflection of the high standards we set for pediatric care,” said Katherine Heilpern, MD, president, Yale New Haven Hospital. “This recognition speaks to the skill, compassion and dedication of our teams, and reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional care to every child and family who turns to us. We are honored to be acknowledged among the top children’s hospitals in the U.S.”

“This ranking reflects the extraordinary dedication of our entire team – physicians, nurses and staff – who work tirelessly to deliver the highest level of care to children and families across the state. Our continued focus on innovation, patient safety and clinical excellence drives us to keep raising the bar every day,” said Clifford Bogue, MD, chief of Pediatrics at Yale New Haven Health and chair of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine.

YNHCH is a national leader in pediatric care with campuses in New Haven and Bridgeport and program services and sites across the health system and the region. The network of eight integrated Pediatric Specialty Centers provides access to more than 35 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties across the region.
