Throughout August, NEMG East Region practices collected supplies for schools in surrounding communities.
This year’s drive benefitted St. Joseph and Winthrop STEM Elementary Magnet schools in New London; Sacred Heart School in Groton; Leonard J. Tyl Middle School in Montville; and Dunn’s Corners Elementary School in Westerly, RI. Each school received notebooks, along with writing, art, whiteboard and cleaning supplies.
“Teachers often pay for classroom supplies out of their own pockets,” said Cristin Gill, supervisor, Ambulatory Operations East. “By coming together to donate supplies, we can ensure that teachers have the resources they need to create engaging, welcoming and effective learning environments for their students.”
