Advanced Endoscopy

We have highly specialized and experienced physicians who perform a variety of advanced endoscopy procedures. They evaluate patients with a range of symptoms and diseases including those with pancreatitis, biliary strictures and stones, unexplained abdominal pain, or anything gastrointestinal that seems abnormal. We use a multidisciplinary approach to complex cases including discussions with other specialists and surgeons. Our team dedicates time into expanding their capabilities through conducting research, training others in the advanced endoscopy field and applying their learnings to the treatment and care of their patients.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Yale New Haven Health’s Digestive Health service line offers the only comprehensive Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Program in Connecticut. Our IBD Program offers a unique team-based approach that includes the patient, family members and caregivers. Gastroenterologists with advanced training and expertise in diagnosing and treating complex and difficult to treat patients with inflammatory bowel disease - Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis - lead the care team. Together they provide coordinated care for the full range of needs from medical and surgical options to nutrition and psychological care to achieve optimal wellness for patients.

Hernia Surgery

Our expert team of clinicians diagnose, treat, and help patients manage various types of hernias from mild to complex hernia repairs, including umbilical hernias and treatment for hiatal hernia. Hernias are very common. In many cases, small hernias may have been present since birth, and they can get larger over time. Other hernias can develop as we age from repetitive strain, heavy lifting or at sites of previous abdominal surgeries. Implanted materials like a hernia mesh are sometimes used in hernia repairs.
