Expanded visiting hours enhance patient experience

Monday, September 14, 2026

NEW HAVEN, CT (Sept. 14, 2026) -- Yale New Haven Health System hospitals will be expanding their general visiting hours to 8 am to 8 pm daily, giving patients and their loved ones more opportunity to spend time together during a hospital stay.

The extended hours are part of the health system’s ongoing commitment to improving the patient and family experience and recognizing the important role loved ones play in healing and recovery.

Greenwich, Lawrence + Memorial, Westerly and Yale New Haven hospitals announced the expanded visiting hours will be effective Sept. 14, 2026. Expanded visitation hours are already in place at Bridgeport Hospital, another member of Yale New Haven Health System.

Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital’s visiting hours remain unchanged, as parents and guardians are welcome 24 hours a day.
