U.S. News & World Report once again recognizes Yale New Haven Hospital

YNHH only hospital in Connecticut nationally ranked

NEW HAVEN, CT (August 2, 2016) – Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) continues to rank among the top U.S. hospitals, and the only nationally ranked hospital in Connecticut, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Hospitals” listing. Of the nearly 5,000 hospitals surveyed, YNHH ranks nationally in 11 of 16 specialties. 

The hospital’s Geriatrics and Psychiatry specialties rank in the nation’s top 10 at #10 each, while Pulmonology ranks #12, Diabetes and Endocrinology rank #16, Gastroenterology ranks #23 and Neurology and Neurosurgery ranks #25.

Yale New Haven Hospital is ranked among the best nationally in five other medical specialties: Urology #29, Ear, Nose and Throat #33, Kidney Disorders #34, Gynecology #35 and Cancer #50.

In June, U.S. News released its “Best Children’s Hospitals” rankings, and six Yale New Haven Children's Hospital specialties were recognized.
