3/28/2011 — Life-long New Haven resident Tina Washington has been promoted to manager of the patient transport department at Yale New Haven Hospital. As manager of patient transport, Washington will lead five patient transport supervisors and 115 transporters.
Washington began her career at YNHH in 2005 as a food services supervisor. In 2007 she was promoted to supervisor of environmental services, and in 2008 became a manager in environmental services, where she was responsible for 150 employees.
A graduate of James Hillhouse High School, Washington received her B.S. in communications from Southern Connecticut State University. She earned her master's degree in public administration healthcare management from the University of New Haven.
