Bridgeport Hospital Program Director of Strategic Operations named to Westfair Business Journal’s 40 Under 40

Tuesday, June 18, 2024

BRIDGEPORT, CT (June 18, 2024) – Bridgeport Hospital’s Program Director of Strategic Operations Amanda Miller has been named one of Westfair Business Journal’s ’40 Under 40’ for Fairfield County. The award recognizes the trailblazers of tomorrow and leaders who are part of the county’s business growth.

“Being named one of the Fairfield County’s 40 Under 40 is truly humbling. While the recognition is an honor, the real reward has been in my everyday work for the past 13 years. Working in healthcare leadership is both a privilege and a responsibility. I am passionate about cultivating a human-centered approach to leadership by leading with empathy, supporting our true, everyday heroes, and fostering a culture of safety and well-being for our staff, patients and communities,” said Miller.

Miller is responsible for supporting the office of the President in the coordination, collaboration, and integration of Yale New Haven Health services into Bridgeport Hospital. Most recently her work has focused on systematizing public safety by managing capital projects for security enhancements including new training, equipment and technology.

“She sets direction for strategic projects and effectively communicates a vision to her peers, staff and leadership in a manner that fosters employee engagement and motivates appropriate efforts, actions and behaviors. She creates and fosters an environment of trust and collegiality by consistently delivering results, while also remaining flexible,” said Anne Diamond, DBA, JD, president of Bridgeport Hospital.

Miller received her award Thursday evening during an event at The Point at Norwalk Cove.
