The statewide survey and awards program was created by the Hartford Business Journal five years ago to identify and recognize the best places of employment - public or private, for-profit or non-profit - in Connecticut.
The 2010 Best Places to Work in Connecticut list includes 25 companies — 20 companies with under 200 employees and five companies with more than 200 employees. A national, third-party research firm conducted a thorough workplace assessment process, evaluating each company's workplace policies, practices, benefits and demographics, as well as employee engagement and satisfaction.
