GREENWICH, CT (June 2026) – Greenwich Hospital recently hosted its 51st annual House Staff graduation ceremony for its resident physicians. The event marked a significant milestone in the careers of the 14 honorees (seven residents and seven interns) who will now transition into the next stage of their medical professional journeys. Greenwich Hospital leadership was on hand to thank the graduates for their service and congratulate them on their success and hard work.
“Today, we come together to recognize an important milestone and the growth each of you has achieved,” said Greenwich Hospital President Robert Blenderman, PA, MBA. “Your journey reflects dedication, resilience and a deep sense of purpose. The care you have provided and the compassion you have shown will continue to shape the future of medicine and the lives of your patients.”
Before each graduating resident received their diploma, Charles B. Seelig, MD, residency program director, shared personal stories of the graduate’s skills and personalities. Jonathan Zimmerman, MD, the residency associate program director, did likewise while presenting diplomas to the graduating interns.

The Chief of the Resident Class, Nikhita Shrimanker, MD, was recognized with a plaque by Dr. Seelig as well. ““Dr. Shrimanker brought a rare combination of energy and steadiness to the chief resident role,” said Dr. Seelig. “Her infectious personality helped bring people together, while her calm, thoughtful approach provided a steady presence for the entire team. She set the tone for collaboration, supported her colleagues through every challenge and leaves a lasting impact on this program.”
