Thursday, December 10, 2015

Greenwich Hospital has announced the promotion of two senior executives to top leadership positions.

Susan Brown, RN, MSN, was appointed executive vice president of Operations and Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer. Marc Kosak was promoted to senior vice president of Administration.

“We’re fortunate to have two highly skilled and seasoned professionals such as Susan and Marc who both understand the complexities involved in today’s healthcare arena. These appointments reinforce our commitment to provide the best care experience possible to our patients and community,” said Norman G. Roth, Greenwich Hospital president.

Brown has been with Greenwich Hospital for more than 30 years, serving with distinction as chief nursing officer since 2008. She will keep her current nursing responsibilities and lead operations. During her time at Greenwich, Brown has made numerous contributions to developing and growing hospital programs and services. She has succeeded in enhancing the patient experience through the implementation of various safety initiatives and her leadership role has helped the hospital attain outstanding patient satisfaction scores. A longtime nursing advocate, Brown’s career began in New York, matured at University Hospitals of Cleveland and was followed by management positions in Florida and Connecticut. She joined Greenwich Hospital as the director of Women’s and Children’s Services before becoming chief nursing officer and senior vice president of Patient Care Services.

Kosak has been with Greenwich Hospital since 2004, initially serving as the administrative director of Physical Medicine and then vice president of administration for seven years. He has managed the organization’s growth and led major office renovations. Kosak will be responsible for ancillary and support services and will serve as the liaison for Greenwich Hospital Community Health initiatives. Before joining Greenwich Hospital, Kosak spent 10 years working for Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in a variety of positions. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
