Bridgeport , CT — The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center (NPBCC) has added two new members to its President’s Council.

Dana Scinto Colangelo of Fairfield, a community volunteer, has helped organize creative fundraisers for nonprofits throughout the area.  Ms. Colangelo worked for seven years at R.D. Scinto, a family-owned real estate company, as director of Public Relations.  She now works part-time while juggling the demands of two grade-school daughters.  She currently serves as vice chairperson of the board of the Child & Family Guidance Center in Bridgeport and continues to run their annual fundraiser.

Ms. Colangelo’s history with the NPBCC extends as far back as her college years.  She is anxious to bring her leadership skills to her new role at the Breast Care Center.  “Not only has my mother, Barbara Scinto, spoken so highly of this committee and organization,” she says, “but there is also a personal connection as both my grandmothers suffered and survived breast cancer.”

Kelly Scinto of Fairfield , a member of the board of the Harbor Light Foundation, has volunteered with several Fairfield County nonprofits, including the Fairfield Foundation for Education and the Near and Far Aid Association.  She is eager is get involved with the Breast Care Center.  “I am so impressed by the scope of services that NPBCC offers.  It is truly inspiring and I would love to be apart of such a great mission.”

Prior to becoming a mother, she worked in the Development Department of the American Institute for Neuro-Integrative Development, where she was responsible for planning events among other duties.  She hopes to bring her event planning skills to her new role at the Breast Care Center.  “Event planning is one of my passions, and I especially love to plan events that raise monies for not for profits.”
