New Haven — April 9, 2010 — Connecticut Magazine recently named 192 Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) physicians among the best in the state in its 11th annual "Top Doctors" issue. The YNHH doctors, who provide a wide range of specialties, were among 757 doctors throughout the state selected from the results of a questionnaire sent to 5,000 Connecticut physicians and then combined with Connecticut Magazine's surveys from 2007-2009.
Spanning 25 areas of expertise, from allergy & immunology to urology, the "top docs" issue serves as a guide for patients seeking the best in medical care.
"We're proud to receive this recognition by Connecticut Magazine," said Peter N. Herbert, MD, chief of staff at Yale New Haven Hospital. "The fact that almost 25 percent of the top physicians in the state are affiliated with Yale New Haven Hospital is an indicator of the high level of expertise and quality of care our medical staff provides on a daily basis."
