Greenwich Hospital recently recognized seven residents and seven interns at its 51st annual House Staff graduation ceremony. The event marked a significant milestone in the careers of the graduates, who will now transition into the next stage of their medical professional journeys. Hospital leaders were on hand to thank the graduates for their service and congratulate them on their success and hard work.
“Your journey reflects dedication, resilience and a deep sense of purpose,” said Greenwich Hospital President Robert Blenderman, PA. “The care you have provided and the compassion you have shown will continue to shape the future of medicine and the lives of your patients.”
Charles B. Seelig, MD, residency program director, and clinical professor, Yale School of Medicine, and Jonathan Zimmerman, MD, residency associate program director, shared personal stories about each graduate’s skills and personality.
Graduating residents were: Deepika Dhawan, MD; Soo-Hyun Lee, MD; Slake Mokrytzki, MD; Eric Olausson, MD; Rosa Velasquez, MD; Allyson M. Wenner, MD; and Xiaofeng Zhang, MD.
Graduating interns were: Gretchen Ball, MD; Kiersten Berggren, MD, PhD; Mychael Delgado, MD; Chitra Parikh, MD; Jesse Tan, MD; Kristy Terft, MD; and Stephen Trudeau, MD, PhD.
Chief of the Resident Class, Nikhita Shrimanker, MD, received a plaque, and other awards were presented to recognize exceptional service, mentorship and partnership to:
