New Haven, CT (July 14, 2026) – Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) hospitals have been nationally recognized by the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke and Get With The Guidelines® – Resuscitation programs for their commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. Bridgeport, Greenwich, Lawrence + Memorial (L+M), Westerly and Yale New Haven hospitals earned honors for consistently meeting national standards and advancing outcomes for patients experiencing stroke and cardiac emergencies.

The American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Stroke awards recognize hospitals that demonstrate a strong commitment to providing the most appropriate stroke treatment aligned with nationally recognized, research-based guidelines. These efforts help drive better patient outcomes, increase survival rates and reduce long-term disability.

The American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines – Resuscitation awards recognize hospitals that demonstrate excellence in treating patients who experience in-hospital cardiac arrest, with a focus on rapid response, adherence to proven treatment protocols and continuous quality improvement. The program supports hospitals in improving survival rates and outcomes for patients requiring lifesaving resuscitation care.
