3/10/2011 — Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH) has appointed Cynthia N. Sparer as executive director of its children's hospital and vice president for women's and children's services. "Women's and children's services are highly ranked centers of excellence that have helped Yale New Haven achieve national recognition. Recruiting someone of Cynthia's caliber and background is invaluable in ensuring that these services will continue to flourish."

Sparer also served as executive director of Monmouth (NJ) Medical Center and Schneider Children's Hospital in New York and as vice president of University Hospitals of Cleveland, where she was responsible for Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.
