Prior to joining YNHH, Sparer served as senior vice president of New York-Presbyterian Hospital and executive director of the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and the Komansky Center for Children's Health.

"Cynthia brings an exceptional wealth of experience to our organization, having served nearly three decades in healthcare leadership," said Richard D'Aquila, executive vice president and COO of YNHH. "Women's and children's services are highly ranked centers of excellence that have helped Yale New Haven achieve national recognition. Recruiting someone of Cynthia's caliber and background is invaluable in ensuring that these services will continue to flourish."
