Seeking radiologic technologists committed to clinical excellence

As a diagnostic radiology professional, you’ll gain unparalleled experience in both clinical and research applications working with a full range of imaging technologies - including Web-based imaging, a full-time MRI center, breast imaging and biopsy services, advanced ultrasound capabilities and low-dose CT imaging.

Our services include:

  • General Radiology:
    • OR - Interoperative Fluoroscopy and CT guidance for orthopedic trauma, spine, cardiac surgeries and pulmonary biopsy procedures
    • Endoscopy - Our technologists are part of the team during endoscopic surgeries at the Center for Advanced Endoscopy.
    • Technologists support advanced image-guided neuro-radiology procedures such as Myelograms and US biopsy.
    • Dedicated pediatric imaging areas provide focused care for unique patient groups.
  • Breast Imaging: including a full range of biopsy services and the first in CT to offer 3D, Tomosynthesis Imaging
  • MRI: Comprehensive MRI Center with 1.5 and 3 T Scanners offering subspecialty imaging in Neurology/Neurosurgery, cardiac, pediatric and orthopaedics
  • CT: Offering low dose imaging protocols and subspecialty imaging in Cardiology and Bariatrics. Our scanners are on HD platforms.
  • US: Offering subspecialty imaging in Vascular, transplant and endocrine services
  • Nuclear Medicine and PET CT: Offering Diagnostic and Therapeutic procedures in multiple organ systems and specialties such as Endocrinology, Neurosciences and Oncology

Advanced education, training and certification opportunities available

Radiologic Technologist Residency Program

The Yale New Haven Health Radiologic Technologist Residency Program offers clinical training and didactic education through its Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. The program provides a unique paid opportunity for board-certified radiologic technologists to further their careers by receiving advanced modality training and certification without any loss of income.

School of Diagnostic Ultrasound

Yale New Haven Hospital offers clinical training and didactic education through its own School of Diagnostic Ultrasound. A 13-month General Sonography (Abdominal Extended and Obstetrics & Gynecology) program or a 12-month Adult Echocardiography program are available. The programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) and a certificate is rewarded at the completion of the program. Learning concentrations are offered in Vascular Sonography and Pediatric Echocardiography as well.
