If you’re worried that you might have a sinus infection, you can feel confident turning to Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care for treatment. Since our practice was founded in 2008, we’ve made it our mission to supply patients with the fastest, friendliest, and most professional urgent care in the area.
A sinus infection (also referred to as “sinusitis”) can produce the following symptoms:
The skull contains numerous hollow cavities (sinuses). Normally, these cavities are filled with air. But when fluid builds up—for example, due to allergies or a cold—it creates the perfect breeding ground for germs, and this can lead to a bacterial or viral sinus infection.
Treatment for a sinus infection will vary from one patient to another depending on what’s causing the infection. For instance, while antibiotics are commonly used to treat bacterial infections, this type of medication isn’t appropriate for a viral infection. Our experienced providers can recommend the treatment approach that’s best suited to your needs.

Our experienced providers are trained in emergency, family, and internal medicine. In fact, you’ll find many are the same experts who have treated patients in local area hospitals.
Fees vary, though are significantly lower than a visit to the emergency room and generally the same or slightly higher than a visit to your primary care doctor.
If you have insurance, the total charges will be determined based on your insurance provider’s policy regarding urgent care and the level of care you receive during your visit with us. If you have further questions, please contact your insurance company.
