Bringing Outpatient Services to the Community

A message from the president of Greenwich Hospital

As part of Yale New Haven Health, Greenwich Hospital has expanded its outpatient footprint with the opening of the West Putnam Medical Center at 500 West Putnam Ave. in Greenwich, just a mile from the Westchester County, NY, border.

People visiting our new outpatient center can see a pediatric subspecialist, gastroenterologist, or physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist without ever stepping foot in the main hospital. Cardiologists, pulmonologists and primary care physicians will join the center later this spring.

The West Putnam Medical Center represents the latest addition to our outpatient facilities in Fairfield and Westchester counties. Last year, we opened a multispecialty outpatient facility at 90 South Ridge Road in Rye Brook, NY, with pediatricians, primary care physicians, diagnostic imaging and laboratory services. In all, Greenwich Hospital now has six outpatient facilities in Connecticut and New York.

As healthcare evolves, we recognize the value of offering services closer to where people live and work. As a result, we have moved many of our outpatient services from the hospital into the community.

The West Putnam Medical Center, for instance, includes the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Specialty Center with pediatric subspecialists from Yale Medicine. Families no longer need to travel great distances to find high-quality pediatric specialty care for their children.

Greenwich Hospital is proud to partner with Yale Medicine to bring this sophisticated level of pediatric subspecialty care to the community. The partnership illustrates the value in choosing hospitals and outpatient facilities associated with a world-class healthcare system such as Yale New Haven Health.
